Eritrea became a member of AMECEA region in 1993.  It has three (3) eparchies.  It shares the same Episcopal Conference with Ethiopia making one Episcopal Conference by the name “Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Ethiopia and Eritrea”.  Father Tsegaye Keneni is the Secretary General.
