SUDAN

Sudan became a member of the AMECEA Region in 1973. It has nine (9) Catholic Dioceses. The Secretary General is Fr. Peter Loro Bambu. The country also has a Regional Conference for Southern Sudan Dioceses by the name “Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Regional Conference" (SCBRC). This Regional Conference is currently seated in Nairobi, Kenya with Fr. Anthony Bangoye as its Secretary General.
